Are you the same "wdwdreaming" who posts on ********.com?

There are coincidentally at least two people using variations of "wdwdreaming" as their username on user groups or message boards on the web. These individuals are not associated with this website!

Can I buy park tickets from you?

Sorry, we are not a travel agency, and this website is NOT produced by the Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, their subsidiaries, or their affiliates.

I have a complaint about my visit to your park.

See the previous question.

Who are you anyway?

EmmettThis is Emmett the webmaster. I am the key writer and editor for the web site. WDWdreaming.com is a fan-produced, unofficial Walt Disney World and Orlando park news and info resource.

I am a lifelong fan of Walt Disney World, having first visited in the late 1970s when I was not even two years old. Many, many trips later (including my honeymoon and my own childrens' first trips), I find that my love of Walt Disney World (and the theme park and attraction offerings that have sprung up around it) has only INCREASED with the passage of time. I'm happy to have passed some of this near-mania on to my wife and kids, and that they have begun passing it back to me as well.

I started this Web site both as an outlet for my own unquenchable thirst for all things related to the parks, and also as a way of sharing some of the valuable info I've learned about vacationing in Orlando with first-timers, and maybe even repeat guests who may think they've seen everything.

You can find me on the following:

Why do you have Universal Studios and SeaWorld information? Aren't you a Walt Disney World fan site?

We get this question a lot. While yes, the name of this site is WDWdreaming.com, we understand that a large segment of Walt Disney World vacationers like to visit other Orlando destinations as well. Hence, they often tell people they "are going to Disney," even when they mean they will be visiting a non-Disney park as well. Technically, including Universal and SeaWorld under the banner of WDW is incorrect, and some may argue that we are perpetuating the confusion, but think of it this way: Few people say they are going to Universal Orlando when they mean Walt Disney World too. And hey, Walt Disney World isn't technically in Orlando either, but tourists all mention that city as if it and WDW are one and the same. This question leads us into our next one...

Why do you even include info on those other parks? They are inferior to Disney.

The competition between Universal and Walt Disney World has reached such a fever pitch that some lifelong Disney fans have taken up the banner of antagonism as well. Don't get us wrong, we love Walt Disney World too, but we also feel that the existence of Universal and SeaWorld in the Orlando area has made the vacation landscape a treasure trove for all tourists. And certainly, the mega-corporations in charge of these parks are aware of their symbiotic relationship.

Every big new attraction these parks create draws people to Orlando, and the effect is more business for all. The spirit of one-upmanship among these parks means that we the guests win, and the prizes are evermore exciting and interesting attractions.

Each of the Resorts has their own style and audience. We feel there is something to appreciate in all of Orlando's theme parks, and we encourage frequent Walt Disney World guests who haven't stepped out of the bubble to go exploring once in a while.

Your site looks all "messed up" on my screen.
